Where Is The Best Place To Live For A Person With Fibromyalgia?

- By

Currently, lots of people still consider fibromyalgia a rare disease, but it turns out that fibromyalgia is one of the most common types of chronic pain disorders in the United States. Well, more than a 5 million people are suffer with fibromyalgia in the United States alone and many more worldwide including UK, Australia,European countries…

Medical conditions often strongly impact where we choose to live in order to have the highest quality of life possible. For example, you don’t want to live in a place that doesn’t have suitable ramps or accommodations for wheelchairs if you’re in one because that would likely impact your quality of life. Even something as simple as allergies can affect the places that are most suitable for you.

I’m allergic to cedar, so living in Texas was challenging for me in the spring and I got sinus headaches quite frequently. Since moving to New York, I’ve had a lot fewer issues with that. Granted, the pollution and traffic cause other issues, but I digress.

Fibromyalgia is not a disease that was recently discovered. It actually has been described for centuries, but it hasn’t really gained any credibility until now. The first study on fibromyalgia happened in 1981, which ultimately confirmed the disease as a disease. Since this one study, there have been many of them afterward that measure the painful trigger and tender points.

Factors that play role:

  • Wind
  • Pressure
  • Precipitation
  • Temperature
  • Humidity
